This is the result of my first landscape image with my newly acquired Canon EOS 5D.
This gorgeous pond is located within a five minute drive from where I live in a neighbouring suburb called Amaroo, the main wildlife found here are cockatoos and at this time of night they make one hell of a racket (noise) as they settle down for the night, I have also been told from people fishing that there’s quite a few fish to be caught.
To make this shot with the widest lens I had at the time, a 50mm f/1.8 I decided to take nine shots, three lots in a portrait orientation bracketed from -2 too +2, tone mapped, then stitch together with Photoshop.
Beautiful, just beautiful. The 5D opens one’s eyes up to possibilities that don’t exist for other cameras.
